The Good News of Jesus Christ!

THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST.
Jesus Christ offers a life without fear, available right now. This life He offers is more than just surviving each day, only to die at the end.

REAL life is offered to you. Life without fear. Life with meaning. Life that brings joy and serenity – NOW.

And this life extends beyond the grave in even a vastly GREATER measure.

Jesus promised, “I have come that they may have LIFE and have it to the full” (John 10:10).

This life, life in the kingdom of God, is available to you right now.

The entire message of the Bible is about Jesus Christ:

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

The Bible calls this life, “eternal life,” not just because it continues forever, but because it is life FROM eternity, the life of heaven, come now into the present.

This is a LIFE that brings happiness, even if you are afraid, or without a job, or handicapped, or of little reputation, or even in prison, or without a family.

When you surrender your life to the care of Jesus Christ, you give up on all you have been, all you are, all you hope to become – and give control of it all to Jesus Christ.

This is a LIFE that also brings unique hardships. It is absolutely free, but in a very real sense, it costs you EVERYTHING.

Life in the kingdom of God is not an improved life. It is a REPLACEMENT life.

Lifelong friends may give up on you. Your own family may reject you.

People across the world today who choose to follow Jesus Christ are losing jobs, houses, property, freedom to travel, even their lives for the sake of Jesus.

I know some of them.

At the very least, other people may think you odd.

So you have to decide. “Shall I choose acceptance by this world and the painful efforts I am making to survive – or shall I choose LIFE in Jesus Christ?”

Jesus pointedly asked, “What will it profit a person if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?” (Matthew 16:26)

In His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus Christ brought LIFE without fear into this present world – life free of the domination of Satan and of sin – and free of the fear of death – and offers this new life in the dimension of divine reality known as the KINGDOM OF GOD.

Not only will you find forgiveness of sin, but you will find God’s life and power present WITHIN you, changing your inner motivations.

This power of God, from His Holy Spirit, will comfort you, strengthen you, and give you power and authority to even heal the sick and cast out demons.

The LOVE of God will also begin to permeate your life. In receiving God’s love, not only will you find healing for your own soul, you will LIVE in the tender love of God and extend that love to others.

Would you like to enter this life of the kingdom of God? You do so by placing your TRUST in Jesus.

Perhaps you mistakenly believe you must improve yourself before Christ will accept you. That is a lie of Satan. The only people who can come to Christ are those who first know themselves to be sinners and in need of His help!

Jesus said, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:32).

JESUS ACCEPTS YOU AS YOU ARE.

Yes, changes will happen, but AFTER Jesus comes into your life. He will give you new desires. You will find yourself WANTING to do what is right and avoid that which is evil.

Yes, it will be necessary for you to cooperate with God’s actions in and with you. However, the important thing for you to know is that JESUS will do the inner changing that you cannot do for yourself.

ARE YOU READY TO PLACE YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST?

Jesus invites you to Himself AS YOU ARE. He knows everything about you – the good, the bad, and the ugly – and He accepts you nevertheless.

He is poised to bring His forgiveness to you, to enter into your life, and to make you a WHOLE NEW PERSON, as you learn to trust and obey Him.

The Bible says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-10).

Do you believe in Jesus? In other words, are you willing to RELY upon Jesus – to TRUST Him?

Are you ready to surrender your will and your life to the care of Jesus Christ?

The following prayer can help you to do just that. I suggest you pray it out loud.

“LORD JESUS CHRIST – I need you. I ask you to take charge of my life. I surrender myself to you, my past, my present, and my future.

I give up trying to control my own life – from here on, Lord, I ask YOU to be in control.

Whatever you would like to do with my life, you may do. I want you more than anything else. I receive YOU into my life NOW, Lord Jesus.

Lord, I confess I have sinned against you, myself, and other people. I regret and repent of these many sins. I renounce each sin I am aware of by name and I ask your help to overcome each one.

(Now, confess and renounce each one out loud to God).

I believe when you died on the cross, you paid the penalty for MY sins. I receive your forgiveness. Lord Jesus, I thank you that I am NOW forgiven. Thank you Jesus!

Because I am forgiven, Lord Jesus, I choose to forgive each person who has ever sinned against me.

(As their names come to you, say out loud, “In the name of Jesus Christ, I forgive (name that person) and I let them go.”)

Lord Jesus Christ, I ask that you would now baptize me with the power of your Holy Spirit. I ask you to fill me with His life and power and enable me to receive every spiritual gift you would give me.

Thank you for having heard my prayer and answering. THANK YOU for coming into my life.

Teach me, Lord, how to live this NEW LIFE I now have in you. Thank you that you will never leave me or forsake me. AMEN.”

Have you now placed your faith in Jesus Christ? If so, I welcome you into the family and kingdom of God!

Each day, take some time to be alone with God, to pray, to listen to the whisper of God’s voice within, and to read the Bible.

If you are not already reading the Bible, I suggest you begin with the Gospel of Luke and then read through the rest of the New Testament.

Find a church that loves Jesus, honors the Bible, and loves other people. Become a regular part of that congregation!

Tell others that you have received Jesus Christ into your life.

However, you may live in a place where it is not safe to say you are a follower of Jesus. If that is the case, you can privately read the Bible on your phone using The Bible app. You will find the Bible in over 1,400 different languages on this app.

May the Lord bless you and keep;
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you;
May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace.

In the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. AMEN!
